The Societies Mini Convention in Bristol

On Friday 28th September I headed over to Bristol where The Societies were holding a mini convention at the fabulous Double Tree Hilton Hotel. The tradeshow was excellent and I met some really nice people from suppliers I use such as OnOne Software, Loxley Colour and One Vision Imaging. It also gave me a chance to see other suppliers such as Sim 2000 and GF Smith.
Great credit must go to Phil and Juliet from The Societies for organising such a fantastic event and an extra special thanks to Catherine Connor, John Denton and Damian McGillicuddy for giving up their time and delivering 3 fantastic seminars which were extremely inspiring.

Qualification Success.

As a member of "The Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP)" I have made use of their invaluable "Mentor Me" programme, where 20 images are submitted and critiqued with the aim of helping you improve as a professional photographer. Back in June I submitted a panel of 20 images and was delighted to be informed that I have been awarded my Licentiate. The panel of images can be seen here:

Baby Caleb 9 days old

On the 3rd July 2012 I had the pleasure in doing little Caleb's newborn portrait session. Caleb was very sleepy which is great for newborn photography as your able to place them in comfortable positions. Caleb must have drunk a few pints of water as he really did enjoy having a wee on my blankets!!!

Mr & Mrs Davies 5th June 2012

On the 5th June 2012 I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Emma & Andrew, both of whom i've know for a very long time especially Andrew as we grew up in the same street together. Their wedding service was at St Michaels church in Dafen (my home village) and then up the M4 to the wonderful Miskin Manor hotel. We had the typical British weather for this day although it did clear up for us to get outside for some all important bride and groom shots.

Mr & Mrs Lush 3rd May 2012

On the 3rd May 2012 I had the great pleasure in photographing the wedding of Joedee and Marcus. I have known this great couple for a number of years as I took pictures of their baby bump and then their gorgeous little girl Maisie as she grew during her 1st year. The wedding took place at the idyllic St Lythan's Church Wenvoe and then onto the Manor House Penarth. Apart from the terrible British weather a fab day was had by all.

Baby Elliot 3 weeks old

On the 15th June 2012 I had the pleasure of photographing little Elliot who at 3 weeks old was very strong for his age. Elliot was fast asleep at the start of the session which enabled me to capture some lovely images of him, and then he woke and the fun began... Elliot must have known he had no nappy on and liked to wee, a lot!!!

Baby Shantayah-May 6 days old

On the 11th June 2012 I photographed little Shantayah-May who at 6 days old was the youngest baby I have photographed, although she was very strong for her age. In the beginning Shantayah was curious as to what was going on but soon gave in and fell asleep so that I could capture some lovely photos of her.
